Swedish Art Deco Burr Walnut Desk
A magnificent Swedish Art Deco burr walnut desk, recently imported from Sweden and dating from the 1930’s.
This is of superb quality, it has a striking and quite unusual design. It is designed asymmetrically, with a tall cabinet on the left and a shorter cabinet on the right. The top of the shorter cabinet extends across the back and this serves as a useful shelf. There are three drawers in the top, which has an inset leather writing surface. This has a nicely polished back, and it looks just as impressive from the back as from the front. The edges are beautifully moulded and curved all over, especially on the supporting side and upper corners.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standards, the top has been re-leathered. This is in excellent condition for its age, and has amazing burr walnut grain patterns throughout.

Height – 81 cm , 32 inches
Knee height – 62 cm , 24.5 inches
