Tall Bow Fronted Mahogany Display Cabinet Showcase

CODE C0199
DESCRIPTION:
This a superb quality and sized bow fronted mahogany shop display showcase cabinet dating from approx. c1890. The cabinet was manufactured by Frederick Maund Old St London Showcase and shop fitters. The cabinet has its lovely bow front glass viewing area all original and unscathed. The cabinet comes with 3 adjustable glass shelves accessed by a rear opening door with plenty of light within due to the glass top in the cabinet. The rear door has its original brass twist handles and brass hinges. This is a super piece of antique furniture that would grace any boutique, jewellers or museum but also would not look out of place in a domestic setting in a lounge or collectors’ studio. This is a quality piece and will bring years of both joy and practical use.
DIMENSIONS:
H 1765mm W610mm D620mm
WORKSHOP REPORT:
There is the odd minor nibble to the glass shelves more where the brackets the shelving sits on has caught when the shelves have been removed or replaced. There is one on the front edge of one of the shelves but this isn’t really noticeable when it is in the cabinet these are to be expected due to the age of the piece as is the odd bruise through the cabinet and on the plinth but nothing that takes away from the beauty of the piece or degrades it in anyway.
