This is a taxidermy Red Fox mask mount on oak shield dating from the early 20th century. The fox is well modelled with open snarling mouth pose looking slightly to the right. This has the original taxidermists paper label to the reverse Henry Murray and sons of Carnforth.

The the fox projects 25 cms from the wall and the solid oak shield measures 30 cms by 20 cms
