A good quality timer made by Thomas Armstrong & Brother, Manchester.
The centre seconds hand operated by a slide mechanism on the side of the case, re-set by depressing the button at the top.
It measures 60mm in diameter and 25mm in height.
It is complete with case. The case with scuff marks and the hinge slightly adrift, in need of some TLC.

Thomas Armstrong & Brother, Manchester were important producers of scientific instruments. The company was originally founded in 1825 by Joseph Armstrong. Following his death in 1851 the company was taken over by Thomas Armstrong and was re-named Thomas Armstrong & Brother.
