Thomas Sewell Robins Watercolour of Sandown Bay

Delightful small watercolour of Sandown Bay by the accomplished 19th Century English artist, Thomas Sewell Robins, in a later mount and frame.
Two figures, one carrying a net on the end of a pole, walk on a sandy shore backed by rocky cliffs with a choppy sea at low tide. The outlines of three large sailing vessels and two small boats with red sails appear on the horizon.
Image area: 18 x 13 cm (7" x 5")
Size of frame: 38 x 33 cm (15" x 13")
Condition: The watercolour is in excellent condition. The painting has not been removed from its frame so this observation is based on an inspection through the glass front. The gilt frame and mount are in very good vintage condition.
Robins work is highly sought after with his watercolours usually fetching several hundreds of pounds and his oils commanding figures in the several thousand pounds range. This is an opportunity to acquire a work by Robins for a relatively small outlay.
Postage & packing is £10 within the UK. Please contact us for a quote to an international destination.
