Two Sudanese kaskara broadswords,we are selling the two together because that’s the way they came to us and had been in the same family since they were brought back from the Sudan. These weapons would have been used in the Anglo Sudanese war of 1885 Both have very long heavy broad double edged blades with cruciform cross guards with leather wrapped grips. Both blades are etched with inscriptions of Arabic calligraphy. Both swords have light rust and overall dirt some damage to the leather, we have left them as we found them.
