A rather special unused mid-century spherical 1950s Pygmalion Globe Map Of The World powder compact. The original accessories are present - pouch, signed puff and sifter. This adorable novelty powder compact is so much more beautiful than the images show. The spherical design would reflect the surroundings and so we have taken shots after blocking out the studio lights. As a consequence you can not see the truly lovely gleaming golden land masses and satin silver finish of the seas and oceans. Image two gives a good indication of the shiny gold land masses and satin silver finish. Image four has a reflection on the area where California is. There isn't any loss of design. See this globe on our website to view more images. There aren't any dark or light patches. The whole compact is in super unused condition. The countries are finely engraved and adorned with gleaming gold enamel.

The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. Measures 5.5 cm diameter x 2 cm tall. Weighs 63 grams.
