The most luxurious unused rare Stratton vanity set in the original case which comprises of a Stratton 'Princess' loose powder compact and a lipstick holder. The fabulous set is adorned with a design that is rarely seen - smooth tone gold daisy form flowers on a contrasting finely engraved engine turned design. The powder compact and the lipstick holder are made from highly polished and lacquered brass which will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The high standards of the workforce of Jarrett, Rainsford and Laughton Ltd. ensured that this piece will retain its superlative condition for many decades to come. All clasps, hinges and the self-opening inner lid work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The original mirror stickers are in place. The inner lid bears the Stratton signature. The original accessories are pristine - the luxurious semi-rigid pouch, signed puff, sifter. The base is decorated with golden stars. The matching lipstick holder is also first-rate. It is signed 'Stratton No2'. The pouch is made from good quality black felt.

The original presentation case is just as pleasing to look at as the vanities it holds. The outer case is beige. The interior of the lid is lined with golden satin. The base is lined with deep crimson velvet with custom made recesses. The Stratton logo is embossed in to the case in a cartouche with chamferred edges. On each side of the velvet interior are crimson ribbons which ensure the easy removal of the display section. Once removed the case becomes a antique jewellery / jewelry case. There is also a section to hold rings.
The compact mirror measures 3" & weighs 85.8 grams. The lipstick holder measures just over 2" & weighs 10.1 grams.
