Unusual Gilt Bronze Animalier Clock

We are offering for sale this unusual novelty gilt bronze animalier antique clock, which is in the form of a rabbit, dressed in a waistcoat, with a small bag over one paw and a walking stick in the other. Upon its back it has a pack of sticks with straps over each shoulder and upon the pack is a large log which contains the antique clock.
The antique clock itself bears no makers mark on the reverse, but appears to have an enamel face (we haven't opened it to check, but it is not paper). We believe it may be of German origin as most novelty antique clocks of that period came from that country. The glass is bevelled. The movement is 24 hour and the clock is keeping good time.
PriceSOLD. DimensionsHeight 7 1/2" - 9cm Width 5" - 12.65cm Depth 3 1/2" - 9cm Weight 1.69kg Category Antique Clocks Date 1900-1920 1900s Antiques Material Bronze Origin German Condition Very good. The clock is keeping good time and the case is in excellent condition. Item code as237a052 Status Sold
