Unusual Ovoid Copper Chocolate Pot
We have for sale a rather unusual arts and crafts copper chocolate pot.
This heavy copper chocolate pot is flat lidded ovoid form extending to three long curved copper legs and a long ebonised handle. The lid is finished with a simple folded copper finial. The shape of the chocolate pot is suggestive of a Swiss origin. Judging by the patination of the body and the handle the chocolate pot probably dates to somewhere around late 19th century.
The chocolate pot is approximately 10 inches (25cm) high, 5 inches (12.5cm) in diameter and 11 inches (28cm) wide including the handle. The chocolate pot is in a good to very good antique condition other than one or two small indentations and the surface patination and wear one would expect from a late 19th century piece of copperware.
