This is a super, late 19th century heavy gilt and gesso moulded frame with an Arts and Crafts design dating from around 1890.
The timber frame is a very heavy construct with applied gilded gesso moulding in a beautiful Laurel leaf and berry theme.
The gesso is all intact and in very good order with a nice antique patina to the gilt finish.
The frame measures 97 cms by 84 cms overall.
The apperture is 75 cms by 62 cms with the rebate at the back for the painting measuring 77 cms by 64 cms.

Due to its size and weight UK delivery would need to be by antique furniture courier.
