This is an enormous hand carved wooden dough trough which dates from the early 20th century. The dough bin is probably European and has a most beautiful hand adzed surface to the elm wood. It is a very simply carved structure with two carrying handles and a wonderful patination and colour. The dough bin is quite heavy and measures 94 cms wide 65 cms deep and 29 cms in height. It would look terrific on top of an oak refectory table of scale, it could also be used decoratively in the garden.
