A really pretty late Victorian oil portrait of a young girl on canvas.
With photography not yet widely available, these would be done similarly to having a photo portait of our children today.
This little beauty with her blond curls, is dressed in her finery holding a posy of flowers.
Not fine art, but a really charming period portrait from a bygone era.
In really good condition, probably having been under glass for many decades. Could be reframed but also displays beautifully just as a canvas on a stretcher.
