Very Rare 1940s Volupte Novelty Compact
Very rare Volupte Butterfly In The Web compact 1940s novelty compacts
A rare opportunity to acquire on of the rarest Volupte novelty compacts. The whole compact is fashioned to resemble a spider's web with the web in low relief & in the web on the lid a beautiful enamel butterfly.I feel fortunate to have this in my collection as I have waited a long time to find it. The compact is in good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives an excellent reflection & has a few age related marks which in no way detract from such a rare compact.
The compact measures 3"X 3" & weighs 125.3 grams.
