Very Unusual Caughley Wine Tasting Bowl 1785

We have for sale the prfect piece for the collector of unusual Caughley Porcelain, a very unusual small Caughley wine tasting bowl.
This rather rare Caughley wine tasting bowl as consists of a small bowl extending to a vine leaf handle. The bowl is decorated in the Caughley Fisherman Pattern with the typical short fat fish, without a dog and with a fisherman on the island behind the boat without a discernible line. The body of the bowl is of a creamy white Worcester like form suggesting a date of manufacture prior to 1790.
The bowl is 2.5 inches (6.35cm) wide including the handle and 1.25 inches (3.18cm) high. The wine taster is in a fair condition and carries two hairlines to the body and a loss to one of the lower corners of the vine leaf handle.
