Victorian 19C Gothic oak mahogany davenport desk


Antique quality Victorian 19C Gothic oak and mahogany lined davenport.
The desk has an old well patinated worn leather writing surface (may or may not be original).
This is a quality piece of antique furniture with beautifully crafted concealed mahogany drawers.
An unusual item (vary rare in oak) with really distinctive styling and compact proportions.
The desk is solid with no loose joints and the drawers and doors all work as they should.
The davenport may have originally had castors.

590mmW x 560mmD x 890mmH (690 to 750mm high sloping writing surface) x 590mmH knee hole (545mmH under decorative downstand).
Historic knocks, marks, wear, cracking, repairs and alterations. There is no key and the locks are untested.
