Victorian mahogany mirror-back chiffonier cabinet

This is a good little late Victorian Arts & Crafts mahogany chiffonier with a nice clean design and a lighter, warmer colour than earlier Victorian examples.

It features simple carved floral roundels to the pediment and sides of the back and base section. It also has three bevelled mirrors to the back with a bevelled panel above and similarly bevelled panelled drawers and doors. The base has two drawers and a cupboard with a removeable shelf and the whole stands on a plinth base. There is a catch to the left door and whilst the lock on the right has been replaced at some point we do not have a key.

This is in overall nice useable condition for it’s age. There is some spotting and streaking along the tops of the mirrors, there is minor veneer loss and cracks along the top sides, more veneer loss to the plinth (we will stain where the loss has occurred on the plinth) and the polish on the right side is dead. In addition the left hand drawer has lost the handle to the back plate.
