This is an unusual Victorian Brass Door Stop or Door Porter, in the shape of HMS Victory in full sail, being held aloft by two Dolphins.The Stop is weighted with its original cast iron weight, as shown and bears an illegible makers mark in the centre of the back.

HMS Victory was the flagship of Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar and she now resides permanently in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth.

Height: 12 5/8" - 32cm

Length: 8 7/8" - 22.55cm

Depth: 2 1/8" - 5.35cm

Weight: 3.36kg.

Materials: Brass and Cast Iron

Condition: Very good, clean, original condition.
