We are offering for sale this lovely Belgian Victorian oil lamp, which is now converted to electricity. The lamp stands on a black glass base, with a reeded brass socle and a reeded brass column, leading to a caged brass font. The shade is vaseline glass, with a cross hatched diamond pattern to the inside of the glass and a later chimney.

On the filler cap of the font, is the following inscription LAMPE BELGE PATENT 11285 1884.

The wiring and electrical fittings are modern, but to comply with British Standards, it is recommended that they be checked by a certified electrician.
