A handsome and superb quality Victorian cabinet bookcase, in dramatically grained burr oak with ebonised decoration. The short bookcase upper section features two glazed doors, flanked by cant corner pilasters in the Aesthetic taste and opening to reveal a bookshelf, raised on a cabinet base with two panelled doors opening to reveal an arrangement of shelves and two drawers with recessed brass handles, raised on an inverted break-front plinth base.

Condition & Details of Restoration
This item is in excellent original structural condition. The polish has been revived by our own polishers, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some old marks underneath the polish, and the ebonised decoration is attractively rubbed in places we feel the photographs are representative.
