A handsome antique Victorian smokers bow chair / captains desk chair stamped “J.N.Willey”. It has a curved top rail supported by 6 splats set into a solid elm seat. There are also 2 metal strengthening bars supporting the arms which make the chair very solid. The turned beech legs are supported by an H-cross stretcher. The elm seat has a beautiful swirly wild grain to it. To the back of the seat is a makers name and to the underside it reads “Supper Room & Serving Bar”. Dating from circa 1890.

Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Good patina to the seat and arms, with an old split (solid) to the seat which has been filled with wax.
