Circa 1880, stylish and classic Victorian carpet chair. The top section and seat is made from carpet, and the rest of the chair is faded gold velour with deep buttons on the arm and uprights. The chair has curvaceous side rails which finish as the arm becomes part of the seat. The back legs are outswept and the front legs are turned and squat these would have had castors originally. The whole frame is sound and sturdy, condition is fair.
