Victorian Cut Glass Perfume Bottle, London, 1896

This is an elegant late Victorian Cut Glass Perfume Bottle with a Sterling Silver collar. The bottle is pyramid shaped with very deep cut hobnail decoration on all four sides and a faceted stopper that catches the light beautifully.
The perfume bottle is made in London and dates to 1896 but the makers' mark is really quite rubbed and we have been unable to identify it.
Condition is very good with no chips or cracks in the glass and no dings or dents in the silver collar. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The perfume bottle stands 11.2cm / 4.4ins high and the base is 4.6cm / 1.8ins square. It weighs 201.6g / 7.1oz.
As mentioned above the hallmarks are quite rubbed and a bit tricky to decipher. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver with the leopard's head assay mark for London to its right and the date letter a for 1896 to its left. We have not been able to decipher the makers' mark.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
