Victorian Drumhead Mantel Clock (France, c. 1860)
An impressive French walnut mantel antique clock, made for the British market. It has a drumhead case with scroll sides, a breakfront base and block feet all in choice walnut. It has a thick bevel edge glass, a two piece enamel dial and a Brocot jewelled visible escapement and is signed buy the maker Henri Marc of Paris. It has an 8 day bell striking movement that sounds the hours and halves on a bell. It has its original numbered pendulum and comes complete with a period key. Henri Marc worked from c. 1800 onward.
Current Condition
The case has been revived and is in excellent condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this antique clock striking please email us.
