A magnificent pair of Victorian Dutch 18ct yellow gold highly ornate cannetille, filigree and beaded drop earrings dating from circa 1870. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is mesmerising and that is just to the reverse of these fabulous antique drop earrings. With marks for Groningen, Netherlands the small assay mark for small objects (1814 - 1905) can be seen to the one of the hooks - great for provenance. In excellent condition, almost museum quality earrings the design is layered with beautiful foliate, beadwork, fine cannetille and gold work inspired by woodland creatures and flora. A delight to wear and won.
