Victorian Face of Mercury Door Knocker

A large Victorian cast iron door knocker.
Featuring the head of Mercury, the knocker is in good condition with age related wear as would be expected.
I have left it uncleaned, as it has a nice patina, with old paint, and a nice tone to the iron.
It is probably by A. Kenrick & Sons, there is some writing on the knocker arm, but I can not make it out to say for sure that it is by this maker. There is also a lozenge mark to the reverse, although again, it is difficult to decipher and therefore date, but it probably dates to circa 1860.
The door knocker has its original fixing screw and nut to the reverse.
The door knocker measures approx 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) in length, the fixing screw is approx 2 inches (5 cm) long.
A nice original, architectural antique.
