This is a very good hall stand. It is late Victorian/Edwardian dating to around 1900. The hall stand is made in solid oak. It is wonderfully carved with serpents and floral motifs. There is something of the jacobean about the design. The hall stand has six extravagantly shaped coat hooks and these are all undamaged and the iron is copperised. The copper looks wonderfully opulent against the polished oak. The hall stand has a central bevelled edge mirror. This is original with minor marks from age as you would expect. The stand has a shaped cornice above and a central glove box (good place to keep car keys!) and stands either side for umbrellas and walking sticks, with the original drip trays beneath.

This is such a good thing. The condition is excellent with no signs of damage or repair. The oak is wax polished and shines. If you have a period property and are looking for something with a Wow factor for you hall, then this does it and is also a useful place for hats and coats and car keys!

The hall stand is 76.5 inches high and 40 inches wide and 12 inches deep
