A splendid mid Victorian period canterbury wot not / music cabinet. Of fine construction in solid walnut with stunning burr walnut veneers. Decorated throughout with fine inlaid stringing and floral motifs. The top has a raised brass gallery and is supported by turned columns of solid walnut with crisply carved decorations. The base section has a single glazed door (lockable with key supplied) which opens to access a fitted interior (originally intended for storing sheet music but now perfect for magazines). Standing on squat turned legs and original brass and ceramic castors. Finished to the rear so could be free standing within a room if desired. Offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina.
