Victorian JAS Shoolbred inlaid mahogany desk table

Antique high quality Victorian (C1880-1900) mahogany Carlton House desk, writing or dressing table. Stamped JAS Shoolbred, a sure sign of quality.
Fantastic inlaid marquetry decoration and early rexine writing surface.
Period castors (some wear as you would expect). All brassware and castors have ormolu coating (now worn and patinated).
This is a lovely piece, that is full of age, charm and character, whilst exuding quality.
Solid, heavy and with no loose joints....a very rare find.
No woodworm.
The mahogany lined drawers slide freely (some internal staining as one would expect).
Would look great in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 107.5cmW x 57cmD x 97cmH (73.5cmH writing surface, 58cmH knee hole).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There is no key and the lock is untested. There is damage to 1 handle (centre drawer RHS), although it is not very noticeable and still works.
