This is a really pretty Victorian lacquered and gilded footstool with beautiful hand-painted floral detail. The stool has a robust design with sturdy cabriole legs and curved frame with its original hand embroidered woolwork top. There are a couple of very small areas of wear to the top and some historic bruising to the lacquer on the knees as per its age but overall this is a sound little piece and a most decorative item dating from around 1880.
The stool measures 45cm long, 22cm high and 34cm deep.
