Victorian Library Armchair In Walnut armchair victorian carved %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
This Victorian library armchair is a magnificent piece of classic Victorian library antique furniture.

This beautifully carved solid walnut gentleman’s armchair has been recently acquired from a large country residence.

It features a carved top rail which leads down to two fantastically carved arms with lion heads.

It stands upon lions paw front legs with internally fitted brass and porcelain castors.

The chair is upholstered in a brown leather material with button back design, and is finished with aged brass studs. The chair is in good condition for its age which we believe to be circa 1850.

The proportions of this chair are ideal for a comfy afternoon in front of the fire.

Please be aware that one of the lion’s heads is missing its tongue (this has been clearly shown), but there is no other significant damage. It would look ideal in any large period property.
