Victorian Mahogany Chaise Longue (c.1860)
This is a very good quality antique English Victorian upholstered chaise longue (Circa 1860 - 1880).

This is a very good quality antique English Victorian upholstered chaise longue (circa 1860 - 1880). The frame and turned legs are constructed of solid mahogany terminating in the original turned legs and brass mug castors. The frame features an attractive up-swept carved right hand arm with pretty floral carvings to the arm and back. The front fascia is mirrored in the back design. The frame is covered crushed red wine velvet upholstery. The chaise can seat up to 3 persons.

In very good condition commensurate with age. The arms and back of the couch are firm. It has re-upholstered sometime in the past with the upholstery you now see and it is in good condition without any marks, tears or rips. The braiding is in good condition and is firmly attached to the couch. The springs in the sear are firm and in good condition. Nominal old use marks to the mahogany frame which is commensurate with age. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
