Victorian Mahogany Davenport or Ladies Bureau
This is a good Victorian Mahogany Davenport or Ladies Bureau with carved and turned front decoration
The top of the slope has a new Black Leather
The Back of the davenport has a brass gallery and it lifts up to reveal a fitted compartment with pen holders’ stationary compartments etc. Even the original ink well is present.
The interior of the writing slope lifts to reveal a satinwood interior fitted with 2 drawers, the whole piece stands on neat turned feet. There is a door on the right hand side which opens to reveal 4 concealed drawers with carved recessed handles
The Davenport is in good condition for its age no loose joints or wood worm
