A handsome antique early Victorian mahogany open armchair or desk chair dating from circa 1850. The oblong top-rail and crossbar above a drop seat with generously scrolled arm rests and standing on turned legs. Solid and sturdy, the drop-in seat is upholstered in a welsh blanket style fabric.

Good condition, solid and sturdy. Upholstery is sound and fabric is clean. General wear and marks commensurate with age. A solid old mend to the top corner of the front leg/seat rail.
