Victorian Mahogany Maritime Cabinet, c.1850

1 of 6
This is an antique, Victorian display cabinet with maritime proportion.
The mahogany in this generously sized pier cabinet displays with a deep, lustrous shine and a desirable aged patina.
Raised on a plinth base the deep, adjustable shelving is given maximum access by means of the 'stile' hinged door swung on brass butt hinges and closed with the original working lock and key.
The large glazed panel ideal for maximum display and good light within whilst the double panelled back is in good order and a sign of quality.
The top is edged with a simple moulding above a narrow frieze and is overhung at the back to clear skirting and backed with a shaped up-stand.
A fine example with solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
Dimensions:
Max Width: 76.5cm (30'')
Max Depth: 48.25cm (19'')
Height: 104cm (41'')
