Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Writing Desk
A medium sized Victorian mahogany pedestal writing desk, with a new black hide leather writing surface (circa 1880). The mahogany is a desirable, light sun-bleached colour.
This desk is a great size for a modern living as it will fit into a room without taking up too much space, but will still be a great talking piece. It has recently been restored and french polished, but still retains the evidence of its 150 years. The drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, mahogany sides and bases, and all have matching brass handles, locks and a key.
The black leather hide is very good quality, and gives the desk a very contemporary feel, as well as contrasting nicely with the lighter mahogany.
This clean and desirable desk is now ready for delivery.
It measures 122cms long by 66cms deep by 72cms tall.
The knee hole measures 50cms wide by 56cms tall.
