Antique fine quality Victorian mahogany twin pedestal desk Edwards & Roberts (famous London maker). C1895.
This is a lovely quality piece, that is full of age, charm and character. Original patinated leather top.
Profuse intricate blind and open fret cut decoration. 8 fantastic quadruple turned legs.
Solid with no loose joints... a very rare find. We have a key that fits the top 3 main drawers only. There are no locks in the bottom 4 drawers (dummy key holes).
No woodworm.
The mahogany lined drawers slide freely. Pull out wings on each side for extra desk space.
Would look great in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions: 122.5cmW (plus 2 x 30cm wings) x 66cmD x 120cmH x 76cmH writing surface (59cmH x 47cmW knee hole).
Good antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear and imperfections, as is to be expected with antique furniture.
