Handsome Victorian Wellington chest of drawers in a lovely rich mahogany. The 7 graduated drawers
with oak linings and turned knob handles are of a solid dovetailed construction and are flanked by
2 locking bars with the right hand one acting as a locking mechanism for the drawers having the lock and key. The locking bars swings open on hinges to allow easy access to the drawers. A very useful and attractive item and always very popular as they fit into so many places in your home providing fantastic storage.
The Antique Wellington Chest was named after the famous Duke of Wellingtons victory of 1815. Antique wellington Chests are tall and narrow chests, usually with seven working drawers, one for every day of the week.
