Victorian Mahogany Writing Table Desk c.1880
A well-proportioned late 19th century mahogany writing table, with the generously sized top above two drawers featuring contrasting oak fronts and original brass drop handles.
With subtle Aesthetic Movement influence, the decorative corner brackets lend a distinctive silhouette, while the table is raised on crisply turned legs terminating in original brass and ceramic castors — perfect as a writing desk, hall table or side table.
Presented in very good antique condition with a rich colour and some light wear consistent with age, including a few old, honest repairs to the decorative brackets. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
