Victorian Maple & Co Walnut Pedestal Writing Desk
A Victorian walnut pedestal writing desk by Maple & Co. This desk has nine drawers each with chamfer front. All drawers have brass swan neck handles and working lock and keys. The drawers all have dovetail construction with mahogany linings.
Each pedestal sits on it's original black china castors that work well for ease of movement.
The top has a red tooled leather insert. The top left hand drawer is stamped Maple & Co quality antique furniture makers from this period. To the front edge of each pedestal there is a reeded decorative strip. This desk is of a great size and would fit into most modern houses and comes in three pieces for ease of transportation with the ability to be carried upstairs.
The back has an attractive panelled construction. A nice quality useable piece of writing antique furniture.
