Victorian Mappin & Webb Silver-Plate Glass Jug
This lovely antique glass claret jug has a nice modern design although it is a Victorian piece. The top and handle are silver-plated and the inside of the lid of the top is stamped with the maker Mappin & Webb and the registered design number 71552, dating the piece to 1888. It is of lovely quality.
Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. It is overall grubby and would benefit from a careful clean. The plating is tarnished and worn through in places. It would benefit from being re-plated. There is some scratching and wear to the glass in places.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
