Victorian Oak Cabinet Mail Box - Post Box
Victorian Solid Oak Mail Box - Ballot Box - Post Box
We have for sale a quite stunning & beautiful Victorian post box.
This box is made from solid oak and would have sat in the hallway of a country estate.
Would also look grand in an executive office.
It has an opening cut out for letters etc. in the top.
Twin doors to the front. There is a key that operates the fully working lock to the front door which opens on brass hinges to access the mail. Good bolt to the other door.
There is a brass lock escutcheon plate with a handle to the front.
The doors have bevelled edge clear glass. great to see if you have any mail.
On the top is a brass plaque spelling 'MAIL BOX'.
The wood and polish is in super condition.
The cabinet doors open and close perfectly. certainly has been well cared for over its life.
Dates 1880 - 1900.
Could be used for a ballot or suggestions box etc.
