Title - Untitled
Details - Oil on board painting. It looks to date from the late nineteenth century. The painting features a fishing boat on the beach with houses in background. High on the hill is a lighthouse and there is a distant steamboat on the horizon. No visible signature or title. We believe it to be of Welsh origins. The painting is frame in an antique wood and gesso gilt painted frame.
Condition - Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. Te painting is a little grubby and has some discolouration. The frame has some wear and damage. It has some areas of chipping and loss and has been overpainted at some point. There is an area of loss t the front edge of the frame in one bottom corner.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image - 38cm by 21cm
Frame - 55cm by 38.5cm, 5cm deep. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
