A 19th C black lacquered Victorian papier-mache tabletop box with the key. With a gold Chinoiserie scene. The lid is decorated with monks in a Chinese style garden where as the sides are decorated with noble families at leisure in a similar Chinese garden. What makes this box special are the monks on the lid and detailed decorations on all 4 sides.
