Victorian Papier Mâché Sewing Box
We have for sale a very attractive Victorian Papier Mâché Sewing Box.
The box is of a black lacquered and is beautifully hand painted with lily of the valley and other flowers decorated.Opening the lid reveals the original pink interior with cushioned lids finished with mother of pearl buttons. The box sits on its original bun feet.
The box is approximately 10 inches (25.4cm) long, 7 inches (17.8cm) wide and 4 inches (10.2) high. it is in a very good antique condition although there is some crazing to the Papier Mâché and the interior is worn, but this is in keeping with the age of the box.
