A beautifully modeled English Parian ware cherub. This really is a very charming subject matter- the cherub is metal working on an anvil. The detail is stunning on this lovely piece. It is unmarked but undoubtedly English circa 186-1880. The overall condition is excellent no chips or restoration. There are two minor firing cracks that would have appeared in manufacture which is come with type of ceramics as it was notoriously difficult to produce and fire in the kiln.
