Victorian Pine Carriage Travel Trunk, c.1890
This is an antique, Victorian carriage travel trunk dating to c.1890.
Raised on sled bearers, ideal for sliding the chest from the carriage to the door, this provincially made trunk features a wide pine plank construction edged with bands of pine.
The chest closes with a working lock and key and has a pair of iron handles for lifting fitted to the end panels.
The lid lifts on iron strap hinges and offers generous storage within and a candle box to one end.
A useful size and in great condition, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
