Victorian Scottish Targe shield. Has a wooden back covered with tooled leather strap work in a Celtic design. Mounted overall with German silver stud work and decoration. German silver central motif on a red felt background. Generally in used condition with some losses overall (of small studs and minor damage to leather). Originally has two handles which are both missing and now has a brass hanging chain. Old crack in wood.

Approximately 50cm in diameter overall.
