This is a very beautiful and striking oil lamp in very good condition. The lamp base is manufactured by Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. and is in very good condition with no dents and no visible wear through the silver plate. A new green baize has been fitted to the base to match the original (which unfortunately had perished). The Baccarat cut glass font is also in excellent condition. The silver-plated Hinks No 2 burner is in excellent condition and works as it should with no visible wear to the plating. New cork gaskets have been fitted to the burner and the collar to give a good, snug fit. New wick has also been fitted. The oval-bulge chimney is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The Victorian acid-etched green-tinted shade is also in very good condition with only two very minor chips to the 4-inch fitter rim. The lamp stands 67 cm to the top of the shade and 74.5 cm to the top of the chimney.
