Victorian Stained Pine Two-Drawer Writing Table
This antique writing table dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. We believe it to be made from solid pine, which has been dark stained. It has two drawers beneath the top and is supported on turned legs with turned feet. The drawers retain metal handles in the art nouveau style.
Condition: Overall this useful piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are a few areas of knocking and loss to the wood, including a section from around the edge of the top at the back of one side. There is some marking to the top, and the centre stretcher is missing from the base.
